Here you can find occasional updates regarding the websites future and current status.
The site has been inactive for a while, but fear not. This site is not dead already. I have just been busy with that horrible thing called real life and unfortunately haven't been able to keep on top of things. Some major changes are coming. The War Room is going to be a seperate website entirely because the subject matter I'd like to talk about is not fitting at all for The Obsolete Exchange. The upcoming reviews section will be gone too, simply because I don't like planning way ahead. I like to review games on a whim, and having an 'upcoming reviews' section, for me, is too restrictive.
The Obsolete Exchange will not be dying any time soon and it is my goal to keep this site afloat for as long as I can, as well as The War Room. Both sites may see less frequent posts, but they're not dead until I say they are. As said before, The War Room will be getting it's very own neocities website, so expect to see updates about that, here.
Added a brand new section to the website: The War Room. Basically a section where things other than gaming is discussed, and is more opinionated. Gaming is still discussed there but not as frequently.
Revamped the home page yet again - added some stickers and a brand new logo. People Playground review is underway but given the sandbox nature of the game, there's not much to be said as it can be played any way you want. Feel free to add the stickers to your collection.
Sudden Strike 2 and Fate of the dragon reviews have been indefinetely postponed due to launch issues. I cannot fairly review a game when I can't even play it. These may get shorter reviews in the future but don't count on it. I'd like to review some newer, more current games, as all but one review has been of games over 20 years old.
Emperor ROTMK review is finished and out now, and the homepage has had a slight revamp, with a new Most recent review section and a Useful links section.
There has been complications when trying to review some games, most notably Fate of the Dragon and Sudden Strike 2. Fate of the dragon is proving to be a nightmare to launch and I am working hard to find a solution. Sudden Strike 2 launches and plays, sometimes. It's very hit or miss hence why it is taking so long to review. As for the Emperor ROTMK review, that will be completed very soon as it has been the only game I've been playing since I began writing it. SWAT 4 will still be getting reviewed but due to the backlog of games it may take a while.
Construction of the site has basically finished and all efforts are on writing reviews now. The goal is 2-4 reviews per week, sometimes more depending on free time.
